About Falkenstein – The Secret of the Hidden Valley

The Holy Roman Empire, in the year 1109, in the confusion of an age without an emperor. Deep in a snow-covered winter forest, the fate of a small kingdom is about to be settled by murder . But the murderers haven't reckoned with a mysterious knight who saves two helpless boys, Elias and Justus, from certain death. While the old king becomes entrapped in a conspiracy masterminded by a megalomaniac named Magos, the two boys grow up far away in the magical valley dominated by Falkenstein Castle. Bernardus the Prior, a former Crusader and traveler in far-away lands, brings the boys up with his deep spiritual wisdom and knowledge so that they can fulfill their destiny.

Meanwhile, Konrad and Katharina von Falkenstein harbor a dark secret. When a young woman collapses before the castle’s gates, their doom seems sure: an invincible army is heading for Falkenstein to raze the castle to the ground. But, in the middle of the decisive battle, events take an unexpected turn.

“Falkenstein” offers its readers everything a superb historical medieval novel needs: fame and honor, revenge and forgiveness, faith and love, dramatic battles, scheming adversaries, great alliances and true brotherhood.

About Falkenstein – The Conspiracy of the Brotherhood

The year is 1122, and the place Medieval Europe. Peace now reigns in the Stauffer Borderlands. The wounds inflicted during the recent war have slowly mended. The Castle of Falkenstein, home to a sworn fellowship since the time of the First Crusade, has been rebuilt and now stands resplendent. Justus and Elias, the royal foundlings and King Albrecht’s grandchildren, are being trained in chivalry to be worthy of true knighthood. Conrad and Catharina of Falkenstein are teaching them the secrets and deep knowledge that they first glimpsed before the Gates of Jerusalem. The day when Elias will be dubbed knight is fast approaching. However, a sinister brotherhood has appeared, in a desperate bid to seize Falkenstein’s treasures. Death and destruction follow, and, to everyone’s dismay, Justus vanishes without a trace. Events that took place during the First Crusade are still haunting the Falkenstein fellowship. A breathless chase now begins, through the great cities and historical events of those unsettled times, taking in Venice, Constantinople and Jerusalem!
